The Social Organization of Ideas in Employment Relations

This article compares how the United States and Germany deregulated labor markets between 1980s 2010s in response to rise of neoliberalism. Building on literature with a focus ideas national knowledge regimes, authors argue that trajectories market deregulation across two countries are explained by distinct social organization ideas. The latter refers actors institutions involved production dissemination (including think tanks public research institutes), their access ways communicating political elites electorates, levels shared academic standards divide, related degrees competition or cooperation new policy Moving beyond previous employment relations power, breaks theoretical ground demonstrating is key intermediary explaining change continuity.
